#VISION
#REGENERATION#ALIGNMENT
Human, Inter-dependent, Consultant, Advisor, Dad
I dream of a more regenerative world, a better place for my 3 kids and for my future descendants to thrive, for all life to thrive. For that world to exist, we are going to have to understand what that means, fix limits, and put the living in the centre of everything we do.
My intention is to collaborate with others to contribute to a collective transition towards a more regenerative economy/world, focusing on regenerative leadership and regenerative business practises, and using the inner development goals to help us get there. This is my 'why', and I aim to embody that where I live at Ferme Lecoq.
Through my entity 'Eagle Spirit', I am available for consulting, coaching, being useful, public speaking, story-telling, strategic foresight, and non-executive advisory roles (en anglais et en français).Rewild Your Time
Here at Ferme LeCoq where I live, I intend to ‘become’ the subject that I have been fascinated with for 4 years now, Regenerative Leadership. Regenerative Leadership is a style of leadership that is inspired from Nature’s wisdom. My belief is that there will be no shift to a regenerative economy without regenerative leadership, and for that leadership to be effective, it must be incarnated. Systemic change is a deeply personal topic and I feel that there are not enough spaces/places where this can be nurtured safely. So why not try and create one ?

My 4 Clicks
Since 2012, these 4 clicks have shaped my life into what it is today
Click 1
2012 - Ellen MacArthur
Retail Week, London. March 2012. I was interpreting at a conference when Ellen MacArthur came on stage. She began talking about the Circular Economy and the importance to stay within the planet's boundaries. This was a revelation.
This moment changed me deeply. It catalysed me into changing my focus and my career. I went from running my own businesses for money to becoming Sustainability Communications Director for Decathlon, and then Vision Leader.

2019 - Theory U
After having driven plenty of collective intelligence exercises, I became increasingly curious as to why people have so much trouble aligning their dreams with their actions. Then three amazing women explained to me that the process I was leading was too much in the 'head', and that I should train in U theory. So I did.
I came back understanding what ego to eco meant, and I opened up myself and then my work to the entire world.

2021 - Laura Storm and the Regenerators
Regeneration came onto my radar in 2017 with a visit to Interface in Amsterdam. Then again in 2020 with Kate Raworth's Donut Theory. But it wasn't until I went on the year long Regenerative Leadership journey with Laura Storm and the Regenerators that I truly understood what this actually meant. Surrendering to not knowing and questioning my relationship with soil, time and my privileged past have been life challenging and life affirming.

2022 - IDGs
The missing piece of the puzzle smacked me hard in the face in April 2022.
The 17 Sustainability goals dropped in September 2015. 17 global challenges that we are collectively supposed to solve together by 2030. But progress hasn't advanced as well as we hoped, probably because we look at them as technical problems rather than compassionate calling. This is where the Inner Development Goals come into play. I am involved on a voluntary level, launching an IDG hub in Lille in 2023.

"A huge thank you to Charlie for opening my eyes on what a transformation process means on a collective level. Indeed, onboarding thousands of people thinking about the future they all want to live in, just before and in the middle of a global pandemic, is not something that everybody could stamp on their resume...and he did it! Letting us dream, in a positive way, accepting our weaknesses, embracing our strengths, listening to hundreds and hundreds of voices all over the world : isn't that the definition of leadership?"

"Charlie is one of the most remarkable humans I have ever worked with. He’s visionary and modest. He’s unstoppable and mindful of your time. He’s inspiring and benevolent. Charlie is clear-eyed in complexity, which makes him a great leader. As we worked together to identify Decathlon’s meaningful challenge for the next decades, Charlie was committed, always a step ahead, team oriented. I asked him to give a class in Sciences Po Paris, in the School of Management and Impact, which my alumni students still talk about. If you have an opportunity to work with Charlie, do it. Otherwise, find one".
